Roland J. Thorpe, Jr., PhD, MS, is a gerontologist and social epidemiologist with nationally-recognized expertise in minority aging, men’s health, and place-based disparities. His research interests include health disparities, race, poverty status, functional decline, lower extremity functioning, hypertension, mobility limitation, older adults, life course, and men's health disparities across the life course.
