TIDE: Establishing Trust, Stimulating Inquiry, Nurturing Development, and Community Engagement.
Our program is turning the TIDE by enhancing the rigor, reach, and impact of rehabilitation research by training current clinician-scientists in mentoring best practices and community-engaged research, while equipping graduate and professional students with the skills needed to pursue careers in this field.
Highlights

TIDE is generously funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver NICHD and additional partners, whose commitment to diversity in rehabilitation science is crucial to our efforts.

What TIDE trainees are saying:
"I appreciated my mentor's willingness to listen to my experience and support me in ways that aided my development. My mentor shared on several occasions that there were things I brought to their attention that they had not previously considered and did not have personal experience with, which helped them improve how they approach research and members of their lab.”

"Connection to other faculty with shared mentoring values has been really valuable. I am learning a lot from their practices and experiences.”
